Cycle Calming Trial on the MediaCityUK Footbridge
Guest User
In recent weeks, we have engaged with a Landscape Architect on how we can improve the safety for both cyclists and pedestrians on the MediaCityUK footbridge.
Concerns have been registered with us by occupiers, visitors and residents, relating to the speed of cyclists on the footbridge and in particular when exiting on the MediaCityUK side between the BBC Quay House and Bridge House Buildings.
Cycle calming measures have previously been considered by the major tenants and occupiers at MediaCityUK.
From this coming Monday 31st July we will be installing a temporary bollard configuration, which will be one of four being considered. The different configurations will be trialled over the following two weeks, following which we will review their effectiveness before progressing a final solution.
Finally to encourage harmonious interaction on shared-use space at MediaCityUK, we ask all workers, residents and visitors, along with our stakeholders involved in the promotion of cycling, to support the MediaCityUK Code of Conduct which can be accessed using the link below:

We will keep you informed of any future developments but if you have any questions please contact us at gettinghere@mediacityuk.co.uk
